SORT leverages volunteers in the following professions:
physicians, nurses, paramedics, EMT's, firefighter's, law enforcement officers,
hazmat technicians, critical incident stress management technicians,
chaplains, and logistical support members.

The team meets at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday night of
each month at our training facility located at 121 Polo Road,
Winston-Salem, NC. (See map and direction on 1st page of
this website) Members who are unable to attend monthly
meetings take short courses through web-based training
pertaining to meeting subjects and discuss these topics
during training exercises.

You are expected to attend 2 weekend training exercises per
year. By working to maintain your preparedness, you will learn
to care for people with state of the art equipment in an austere
medical setting. You can maintain your readiness by carrying
a SORT group pager.
