Case Management

This department serves as a liaison/advocacy service between guests and social service agencies. The case management component of the shelter is the critical first step in informing guests about the options available to them and the means of accessing them. The case management staff is responsible for initial intakes on guests entering the shelter. Based on intake interview information, the case managers assess need, eligibility, medical/mental health status and make appropriate referrals both within and outside of the shelter, as needed.
