Distribution, Supplies, Local Distribution of Supplies

Local Food Ministry

The Alliance's Local Food Ministry carries out the goal to relieve hunger locally in the Greater Houston and Galveston areas. We distribute food twice a week to existing local missions, churches, and pantries and also assist in establishing pantries where no facilities exist. The alliance also distributes food directly to poverty-stricken areas, individuals, and families by means of our food bus and food van.

Community Festivals

The Alliance regularly and proactively holds one-day festivals in low-income areas in the community to distribute food and offer basic medical services to residents. Volunteers help minister to those in need with the Word of God and prayer.

Past festivals have included:

Port Houston Community Festival at Port Houston Elementary School, August 27, 2005
Las Americas Festival at 5909 Glenmont, July 27, 2002
Denver Harbor Community Festival at Denver Harbor Multi-Service Center, July 20, 2002
Inner City Community Festival at San Jose Clinic Group, 301 Hamilton, May 18, 2002
