Healthcare Mobile Medical Clinics

The Alliance partners with local churches to build and ship healthcare mobile medical units to countries with needs for medical assistance and disaster relief. An important and expanding part of the mission of the Alliance, medical clinics provide needed medical facilities in remote areas of the world where medical and dental care are not readily available. These clinics immediately serve hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

Medical clinics are converted from former 40-foot shipping containers and easily transported to any location. Each clinic contains three examination stations with privacy clinics, sinks with water filtration, storage area with supplies, an air-conditioning unit, and an optional gasoline-powered generator.

Shipping containers are adaptable to specific needs of recipients into facilities for dentists, general practitioners, and obstetricians. Containers may also be built with doors, windows, baths, and bedrooms to provide bunkhousing for 10-14 people in the mission field or during a disaster where housing is limited or non-existent. Clinics are built in three or four weeks, and cost for each medical container is approximately $30,000 including $5,000 per shipping container, $6,000 in equipment and medical supplies, and 300+ hours of work.

The Alliance has placed clinics in the following areas to date:

- Mutare, Zimbabwe (African University Medical Clinic)
- Guatemala, Central America
- Nicaragua, Central America
- Honduras, Central America
- Mombasa, Kenya
- Venezuela, South America
- Remote areas of South America
- Houston, TX, USA (East Houston Medical Clinic)
