Programs Director

The Capital Area Food Bank has an opening for a full-time Programs Director. The primary objective of this position is to act as a liaison between the Food Bank and the Partner Agencies where CAFB programs exist, including elementary schools, community centers and Boys & Girls Clubs. This includes, but is not limited to: Monitoring each program site annually to ensure national program standards are met, maintaining communication between each site and the Food Bank, providing stellar customer service at each site, and updating internal program information so that any external communication is accurate and reflective of CAFB program activities.

Qualifications:

* Three-to-five years work experience in customer service, administrative, and social/human services.
* Three-to-five years supervisory experience.
* Excellent attention to detail and deadlines.
* Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
* Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and web applications.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Compassion and empathy for the needs of our Partners and their clients.
* Ability to take direction from supervisor and to work independently.
* Ability to work cooperatively with other Food Bank staff and Partner Agencies.
* Reliable transportation.
