Who We Are...

Started in 1984 the ARK programs are licensed by the Mississippi Department of Human Services and certified by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. The ARK’s programs include therapeutic group homes for adolescent males and females, a 20 bed Chemical Dependency Unit for adolescent males and females, substance abuse outpatient services, and substance abuse outreach and aftercare services for adolescents. All programs are JCAHO accredited.

Our clients, Mississippi youth ages 13 to 18 years old, are referred by families, youth courts, schools, the Department of Human Services, the Department of Mental Health, and other social service programs and organizations.

The ARK substance abuse treatment programs for adolescents utilize a cognitive behavioral approach to treatment in unison with the twelve-step model of recovery. We are...

An integral component of Mississippi Children’s Home Services. An interdisciplinary team of professionals and support staff including licensed psychologists, board certified child psychiatrists, licensed therapists, certified recreational therapists, certified teachers, registered and licensed nurses, registered and certified dieticians, speech/language therapist, and a host of other caring staff.

What We Do...

The Outpatient services are for youth whose substance abuse is limited in severity so that they can continue to function at home, school, or work. The ARK aftercare program is offered to graduates of our residential or outpatient programs and will accept adolescents who have completed treatment in other locations. Our goal is to facilitate a sober, productive lifestyle. In order to accomplish this goal, we…
