Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston, AniMeals on Wheels Program
Pets provide great companionship, especially for persons who are homebound and like their owners, the pet companions of our Meals on Wheels recipients are in need of ongoing nutrition assistance. In an effort to help seniors maintain their independence and assist them as they care for their best friend, Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston has launched a new program to provide donated pet food to the pets of Houston area Meals on Wheels recipients. Volunteers are needed to help us deliver pet food to homebound seniors once a month. Deliveries will take no longer that 1 1/2 - 2 hours. To find out more contact Tiffany Harris, IM Volunteer and Event Coordinator, at 713.533.4922 or tharris@imgh.org.
