Public Health Outreach
Annual water report interpretations will be given during various neighborhood meetings.
We will host a Semi-annual forum compiled of lecturers and neighborhood associations to discuss healthier living practices and how these practices can be incorporated into daily living.
Environmental Education
For the Fall 2008, we plan to launch an After-school program that will address environmental issues that are associated with urban environments.
Consciously Rebuilding is hosting a free community workshop on May 31 11am-1pm at 2105 S. Liberty St. The goal of the workshop is to introduce community members to the concepts of environmental health, sustainability, emergency preparedness, and PTSD. In addition, we plan on having a resource booth with organizational materials that further address the environmental, social, rebuilding, etc. issues of New Orleans. We are establishing ourselves as a resource hub, linking much needed resources and program-providers to those who need them. The workshop is a perfect opportunity to form these lasting relationships.
