How to be Most Helpful

Many have opened their hearts to Haiti and want to know how best to help. The advice we find on the InterAction Web site offers recommendations that make great sense to us. Here’s what they write:

Cash is Best
The best way to help in this disaster relief is to donate financially. Cash allows for the procurement of what is needed and ensures that donations are culturally and environmentally appropriate. Cash donations do not use up other scarce resources, such as transportation, staff time or warehouse space. As needed, cash can also be transferred quickly to where needed.
