Notes
Project Soup, New England’s first free supper program,
opened in 1969. Recognized for its work to combat
hunger. Project Soup serves 70 people a day. Food
donations, monetary contributions, and volunteered
time are always welcome and needed.
The mission of the Somerville Homeless Coalition is to
provide vulnerable individuals and families with
personalized supportive services and tailored housing
solutions. We are committed to treating people with
dignity and respect, always with the understanding
that they are part of our community.
PANTRY HOME DELIVERY
Monthly groceries delivered to eligible elderly
and disabled individuals in Somerville and
Cambridge. By application only.
SERVE NEW ENGLAND
“Double-your-money” food package including
meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, staples.
$15 regular, $9 meat, $16 veggie package,
and two hours community service monthly.
NUTRITION CLASSES
Project SOUP in collaboration with Operation
Frontline offers nutrition classes in both
English and Spanish. All classes are free, and
conducted by local chefs in the Boston area.
