About this facility
- Mission
- MASK (Mothers/Men Against Senseless Killings) was established in 2015 as a way to put eyes on the streets, interrupt violence and crime, and teach children to grow up as friends rather than enemies. A group of caring individuals in the community began to simply hang out on the block, cook food, and emanate love.
Our presence was felt. People began to notice neighbors were watching out for each other, and it was contagious. Now this method of injecting good vibes in troubled areas is catching on in more communities.
Our primary mission is to build stronger communities through a focus on:
Violence Prevention
Food Insecurity
Housing Additionally, MASK partners to ensure that community members have access to necessary city services, opportunities for education & professional skills growth, and economic development. - Service

Thank you for your generosity! Your donation allows the amazing Moms, Dads, neighbors and friends to provide a safe space for 150 children and adults to spend the summer violence free.
If possible, please bring items that can be grilled (hot dogs, burgers, chicken, ribs, etc), plus anything else that goes along with it. Bottles of water, Paper goods, disposable containers, condiments, charcoal, chips, popcicles, and outdoor toys (water balloons, soccer balls, frisbees, etc) are always appreciated! Please have food arrive at 3:30pm.
We would love to have you join us, but if you can't please consider sending food through Instacart (https://www.instacart.com/store/marianos/storefront?open_store_chooser=true).
Also-- as feeding 150 people can be a big task, this is a great opportunity to get friends and family together to pitch in and make it a possibility.
(Due to the food sitting outside, please send items to grill and not premade meals such spaghetti)
