Mission

Description
This is a resource group to gather people who can help evacuees from natural disaster in the pacific northwest.
There is especially a need to coordinate people who can help transport livestock and pets, as well as host, on short notice.
Please add people and share this group as needed. Please let your local fire district know if necessary.
Our goal is for people to know they do NOT need to leave their animals behind. READ BEFORE POSTING:
To Offer to help: Search "Evac resources thread" and add your details there.
A phone number is most helpfull. Include your town/area, and what you can offer. To ask for help:
Make a post on the main page. INclude your exact location, what you need, and your contact details.
phone number is the fastest way unless you are sure you will have internet capability.
You can also contact Admins directly by email pnwevacuationresource@gmail.com WE ARE NOT HERE TO HELP YOU MOVE FOR FREE. Call a moving service.
We are here to help living beings, not move your old cars and trailers "because theres a fire". NO FUNDRAISING. PERIOD. Donation drives ONLY by request of officials/authority. A person on-site must confirm what is needed and where they can be dropped off.
Excessive material donations are actually a huge burden, and are usually not wanted. Random posts: At this point please only post requests and information relevent to natural disasters. Please don't share statuses, photos, etc from other sources. They are not searchable and often not readable.
If you see a request in another group, please give them our information. It can be dangerous and counterproductive to have multiple groups trying to reach someone when they had no idea their status had been shared. DON'T BE A JERK.
People are sharing personal information in order to help people.
If you abuse this, we will prosecute you to the full extent of the law, and sick the flying monkeys on you if need be.
