C.R.E.W. in Florida is still looking for Skilled Volunteers to help with roof repairs, flooring, drywall, some plumbing and framing. If you could get this information out we would appreciate the help. We are also in need of funds to purchase the materials

CREW is a caring network of Hendry and Glades Counties' civic, social services, faith-based groups and agencies, and organizations, along with concerned individuals and business, formed to address the physical, emotional, and
spiritual needs of the community in the restoration and rebuilding of their lives and homes in times of natural or man-made disaster.

Hurricane recovery is tough and Wilma was devastating to our area. Our community is small and rural but proud and tough. It has been difficult to help so many victims in such a small area. We had over 600 victims in just our
two counties.

In 2006 we had 237 volunteers from 8 states give a total of 5480 hours for an in kind donation of $101,380.00. We also were able to close 308 cases by either meeting their needs or finding other agencies that could. We have over another 300 cases that still need help.

You can donate to CREW as well, we survive totally on grants and donations, we really need funds for basic operating costs, as well as supplies and funds to make the repairs on homes destroyed by Hurricane Wilma and other natural and man made disasters.
