The little coastal community of Pearlington, MS (click here for map), was all but destroyed by hurrican Katrina which hit the Gulf Coast August 29, 2005. Every home and business was affected in one way or another by the storm and many homes were left uninhabitable. Most are still that way. A group of concerned Christians from the Huntsville, Alabama area have become burdened for this community, its residents and their ongoing needs. Please take time to visit the links given below and email me if you have things to add to the site or if you wish to contribute to the relief efforts in some way. Almost every month, a team is going back to Pearlington to help clear out houses, provide needed materials, paint, repair and in general, try to give hope where it has been dashed to pieces. Thebrave families who are left here are trying very hard to rebuild their lives in a place where homes and cars have been lost and jobs are few and far between.
