MISSION:

Formerly known as Immaculate Heart Community Outreach, Inc. we were founded in 1996, and again in 2003, as a faith and community based, nonprofit nondenominational organization creating a change in our communities.

Our mission is to build Affordable housing and build an emergency shelter and serve other needs to enhance our food pantry that has been in operation since 2004 successfully serving 8 counties. Since Katrina we have partnered with Disaster Recovery Services of George County, with our second food pantry in location, and 3 others opening soon in other counties.

We are case managing in the rebuilding of lives remodeling damaged homes and also placing families into new ones. Distributing appliances and supplies to our elderly, very low income and disabled families in all areas.

We have a literacy program that is helping adults and children in the privacy of their own homes. We assist in marriage counseling. We assist in job training and referrals to anyone willing to learn how to survive and grow on their own. Our trained volunteers teach, tutor, provide drug counseling and sponsor credit repair workshops.

We are looking forward to meeting the needs of the families you send to us.
