Speciality: Donation & distribution center for disaster recovery
(2005 S. IN tornados, Hurricanes Katrina/Wilma)
Description of volunteer needs: Counselors. Sorters of donated
goods; truck drivers; construction workers; cooks; and maintenance
people. Working to resettle Hurricane Katrina & Wilma evacuees.
Skills volunteers are required to have: Willingness to work
Useful Skills: Counseling, trucking, construction, case management;
sorting and shipping
Tools or supplies volunteers should bring: Gloves, goggles,
treaded shoes. If doing construction, please bring any useful
tools.
Will volunteers need to bring any money or material, such as for
housing: No
