MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Enterprise Civic Center Disaster
Recovery Center (DRC) will permanently close at 6 p.m.,
Saturday, March 10, 2007, according to recovery officials
from Alabama and the Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA). This center opened March 3 and responded to more
than 260 visitors including area homeowners, renters and
business owners about disaster assistance programs.

Since the deadly tornadoes struck Alabama, more than 490
area residents have visited recovery centers and met
face-to-face with disaster recovery specialists from the
Department of Homeland Security's FEMA, the State Emergency
Response Team, the U.S. Small Business Administration, other
government agencies and volunteer organizations.

Two recovery centers remain open in Enterprise along with
five recovery centers open in Wilcox, Henry, Dale, Montgomery
and Dallas counties. All residents in these six counties can
visit any recovery center. The centers are open from 8 a.m. to
6 p.m., 7 days-a-week, until further notice.
