=======
9/5/08:
Just spoke to Aaron Funk. They are deploying to Baton Rouge and should arrive by 9/6/08. They will set up at least one kitchen in that location, and assess the need on arrival for any additional kitchens. They are also assessing The Houma Indian Nation in Terrebonne for hot meals needs.
They will have to double back to FL in 1 1/2 weeks to serve post Ike and are on standby for both Hanna and Ike.

ARRR is a grassroots emergency response network organized
to provide first wave relief kitchens, safe drinking water,
medical assistance, and a child safe playarea to communities
immediately after a disaster.
We are dedicated to mobilizing our assets and resources
toward these goals. Utilizing the collective experience
of mass feeding in some of the most remote areas of the
American wilderness. Coupled with the over whelming success
of the New Waveland Cafe during the ultimate test of Katrina.
We are prepared to respond.
Currently we are working to create a broad platform for other
grassroots reliefs efforts to work in concert. During a
disaster it can be very difficult to coordinate even the most
basic logistics needed to actually deliver direct aid. We would
like to invite other grassroots relief groups and community
based organizations to join our network. We are much more
powerful together than alone. And an efficient , coordinated,
and comprehensive approach is the only way to guarantee success.
