Mission: Heavenly Housings mission is to provide a more permanent solution to volunteer lodging in areas that have suffered wide-spread destruction. We believe that having comfortable surroundings will empower volunteers and their efforts to these communities. Our first area of concern is the Gulf Coast, specifically, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and our first home is on target for a spring 2008 opening!
Eligibility: You must complete a reservation form, that includes which charity you are volunteering for- this information will be verified- Heavenly Housing only provides temporary lodging to VOLUNTEERS.
Fee for service: Yes - $15.00 - Fee Includes twin bed, bath, kitchen, laundry

Service details: when volunteers are no longer responding to this area, the Heavenly Housing Home will be sold and profits reinvested for current needs.

Notes

Heavenly Housing is a start-up 501c3 non-profit seeking support. It is our belief that a sustained volunteer effort is required to restore and rebuild coastal America, and that that effort is being thwarted by the lack of suitable housing for these volunteers. Heavenly Housing will maintain homes with a "suggested daily donation" (see fee above) and homes will be sold when volunteer efforts are complete.

Heavenly Housing will build homes in these communities for the continued support of the volunteers who will be needed to rebuild and restore these lives.

Heavenly Housing homes are needed in many different parts of the USA, but your support is necessary for these homes to be built!

How can you help?

Land in disaster areas is needed for a homesite. Donations of land are great! Check with your tax adviser to find out how land donations would benefit your 2009 taxes!

Next, money is necessary to buy the housing package. Our partnership with New Hope Construction offers a great product at a great price! Affordable is an understatement! But costs are incurred and must be covered!

Then, volunteers are needed for the Heavenly Housing home construction. Building experience isn't necessary, just the ability to take direction and work hard! Volunteers would be required to fund their stay...Heavenly Housing will assist with specifics.

Lastly, Homes will need to be furnished and fitted! Heavenly Housing will accept direct donations of household items shipped to the homesites or check out www.ultimateregistry.com for an easy way to help make our dreams a reality!
