The Adventist Community Services Disaster Response Team from
the Kansas-Nebraska Conference (John Treolo, Kansas-Nebraska
ACS Director, and Janice Weeks, Kansas-Nebraska ACS Disaster
Relief Coordinator) arrived on Monday, May 7. A
warehouse/distribution center has been set up in Pratt, Kansas
(32 miles away) in the old J.C. Foods Building at 201 S.
Jackson Street. It is a joint operation between Adventist
Community Services, Kansas Food Bank and the Salvation Army.
Adventist Community Services organized and is currently managing
the warehouse/distribution center until May 24, when the Salvation
Army will assume management and continue services.

5/11/07 VOAD Meeting in Haviland, KS:
Adventis Community Services is helping manage the JC Foods
Bldg. Warehouse in cooperation with the KS Food Bank and
Salvation Army. NO MORE CLOTHING NEEDED. They had to turn
down 2 semi trucks full of water from Indiana. Accepting
any donated goods EXCEPT clothes and water.
