August 2012: sent email asking for update. Noticed that their website doesn't work. A quick search showed them as a "member" on the Committee for Plaquemines Recovery (CPR), which doesn't have much up to date status on their own website: http://cprrebuilds.org/home.html Nothing about Isaac. People for Plaquemines is a non-profit entity devoted to ongoing
Hurricane Recovery in Plaquemines Parish Louisiana.
People for Plaquemines is a start-up non-profit assuming the mantle
of another relief organization that has lost its funding and whose
departure from Plaquemines Parish is immenent- End of June '07.
Recovery is just now gaining a toe-hold in South Plaquemines
Louisiana. Nearly all of the homes still need rebuilding, many
still need gutting and clean-up.
It is unclear at this time what, if any, supplies and materials will
be left for the start up operations of the People for Plaquemines
Community Center and Residential Rebuilding operations.
