EMERGENCY GROUP SITE TRAILERS ARE AVAILABLE for Families
and Individuals waiting for FEMA trailers to be placed on
their private property are also eligible to move into
trailers located at Emergency Group (EG) sites. If you
choose to move into an EG site, and your private property
qualifies as a FEMA approved location, your EG site residency
will not prevent you from receiving a FEMA trailer on your
private property at a later date. If you have been identified
as a priority on the trailer waiting list and choose to accept
an EG site trailer, you will be moved to the non-priority
waiting list for receiving a trailer on your property.

How are temporary travel trailers being provided?

The temporary travel trailers are being provided by FEMA on
a priority basis, and each applicant is assessed. The first
priority is providing trailers to those who have no shelter
or are living in a group shelter. Other requests are evaluated
on needs such as family or health issues and when the
application was received.

Do I need to pay for a power pole to support my travel trailer?

No, the power pole is provided and you do not need to purchase
or provide one yourself. You should, however, contact your power
company.

How do I contact FEMA to apply for temporary housing or register
for disaster assistance?

Call to register for FEMA Disaster Assistance at (800) 621-FEMA
(3362), TTY at (800) 462-7585, or visit www.fema.gov. Housing
applications are also available in the FEMA tent at K-mart.
Bring this information to register: social security number,
address with zip code, insurance information, directions to
your damaged home and daytime telephone contact number.

If I accept emergency housing in an emergency group site, will
I lose my place in line to have emergency housing placed on my
property?

No, you will keep your place in line. DO NOT MOVE the mobile
home. It's federal property.

How do I sign up for the Army Corps of Engineers BLUE ROOF PROGRAM?

Sign up by calling (888) ROOF-BLU (7663-258) or visit the Train
Depot in Bay St. Louis or Card Room at the Diamondhead Community
