The search for a new home for Twelve Baskets Food Bank, our affiliate in Gulfport, Mississippi, has come to an end. During Hurricane Katrina, the building housing Twelve Baskets sustained damage that hindered the response to recovery efforts on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
It is with great pleasure and pride that Jennifer Keegan, executive director, and the staff at Twelve Baskets Food Bank announce their new facility located at 16364 Highway 67, Biloxi, MS 39532. They have a new freezer and a new cooler measuring 24’ x 24’ and a significantly larger warehouse that will allow them to expand product line and service to the many organizations in the eight south Mississippi counties they serve. We, along with Twelve Baskets, invite you to give them a call at (228) 863-1759 to set up an appointment and see the facility for yourself.

At the Bay Area Food Bank, we like to say we're not just a warehouse. We offer many hunger relief programs to help our communities. From child nutrition to community food assistance, we offer programs for every population, for every food and nutrition need. Please explore our different programs and learn why the Bay Area Food Bank is not just a warehouse.
There are many ways that people can become a part of the food bank family. You can donate money online or using one of our direct mail pieces if one is mailed to you. You or your company can donate food, or organize a food drive. You can raise money by organizing a fundraiser or helping us with one of ours. You can volunteer, either as a long term permanent volunteer who comes in a few days a week, or you can organize a group of people to come volunteer during the day, sorting food and doing other important work at the food bank. One very important and easy way you can help the food bank is by using your voice. You can write to legislators about hunger-related issues, you can make phone calls or write emails. You can become a hunger advocate for your community by checking our Use Your Voice section and finding out what needs to be said, and who needs to hear it.
