Notes

I want to thank the monitor of this listserv for inviting me to join. I
want to hear the stories of people who cannot rebuld. In the North
east most folks have forgotten about Katrina, or believe the need has
ended. We believe that because we believe our newspapers would carry
the word of those still in need, if it were otherwise.

This nations media only carry the news which will sell their
advertisers goods. It rarely carries the ideas of the poor and the
Underpaid.

No I am not from the effected area-But a Few Mainers did travel to the
Gulf to Help. Good intenting People here volunteered to open their
homes. I am not Black but as a kid, I knew the hunger pang, where you
cry yourself to sleep.

I can niether travel to LA or read many of thefirst hand reports at one
time. the first is because I lack travel funds myself. the second is I
identify too closily and hurt for you folks.

If you know of Governmental abused-People, who did not get their $750
credit cards, oropeople who could not PROVE by middle-Class standards
their loss I want to hear from them.

I am busy-I staff a Homeless Crisis Hotline in Maine. I havea Mother
who had a major stroke in May 03.' She is at home and needs to be
lifted out of bed. I do not proof read. I would rather get out the word
badly to many people-then not at all.

Anyone with news, can call me at 1-800-438-3890 9-5 EST.

Also I wondor why their has not been an out cry for improvement for the
underpaid? I havea question for all its at:
