- The Antelope Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross has jurisdiction over an area of 4,300 square miles, encompassing 40 percent of Los Angeles County and 50 percent of Kern County in southern California. This area includes the military installations of Edwards Air Force Base, China Lake Naval Weapon Center, and Air Force Plant 42.
