2011 April Tornadoes

This past week, Iowa and Wisconsin were hit with a series of destructive tornadoes. While we have been assisting Neighbors Across the Land Disaster Relief & Recovery (NATLDRR) in those areas, Katrina's Angels has been contacted by a group of people in West Fargo, North Dakota in need due to the constant flooding in their area. They are once again sand-bagging and pumping to keep the waters at bay. Katrina's Angels has stepped in to help.

The people of this area of North Dakota are devastated. The economy is already strained, and many are without flood insurance because they simply couldn't afford it. Many children are without everyday necessities like underwear, sox, pacifiers, diapers, toys and books. We need donations so that we may purchase items for those children as well as for the adults who care for them. We currently have a team led by a Katrina's Angels Community Coordinator who lives in the area. She is being joined by several volunteers on the ground.

==========
11/6/2010
There has been flooding in various parts of the country, and Katrina's Angels (http://www.katrinasangels.org/) has a request. Can anyone please donate to Katrina's Angels (http://www.katrinasangels.org/Donate.asp) so we can get school supplies, slippers, and socks for kids affected by the recent flooding? These would make great Christmas gifts.

Katrina's Angels, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit disaster relief organization so all donations are tax-deductible.

Also needed is money and/or flood bucket clean-up supplies like bleach and mops. And if anyone has drywall or flooring you can donate, please contact info@katrinasangels.org.
