Release Date: November 15, 2007
FEMA Release Number: 1731-037

PASADENA, Calif. -- Three Local Assistance Centers in San Diego
County will transition to Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) on
Monday, Nov. 19. The name change does not change the basic intent:
providing vital disaster assistance information.

The centers are located in Fallbrook at the Community Center, 341
Heald Lane; in Ramona at the Ramona Community School, 1710 Montecito
Rd.; and in El Cajon at Rancho San Diego - Cuyamaca College, 900
Rancho San Diego Parkway.

The centers provide one-stop shopping for recovery information
from representatives of the state, federal, and voluntary agencies,
as well as loan officers from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
These recovery experts are available to answer questions and provide
recovery information. Written materials about various assistance
programs are also available to individuals and business owners.
Visiting a DRC is not required to be considered for assistance.

Operating hours for DRCs are: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed on Sundays. All DRCs will be
closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 22.
