About this facility

Mission
Hands On Inland Empire, a program of Inland Empire United Way, provides a link for individuals, families, teams, and corporate groups to join together and engage in meaningful volunteer opportunities within the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties and the Pomona Valley. We are working to promote volunteerism and get people involved in their communities. Hands On Inland Empire does this in partnership with other organizations so we are working together to bring about long-lasting change in our communities. From motivating children to discover and learn, to serving hot meals to low income families, residents of the Inland Empire are responding to critical needs. Hands On Inland Empire is building a Community Tool Bank to assist local non-profits with community clean-ups, the building and maintenance of local parks, renovation of neighborhood schools, building community gardens and more.

New Volunteers
If you are not already registered with Hands On Inland Empire, you first need to register and set up an account for yourself. Click here to register.

After registering, you will receive an automatic e-mail message with a link to activate your account. Once you have done so, you will be prompted to update your information in the Member Center. Follow the link to do so and indicate your skills and interests. Be sure to check the interest category "Disaster Relief / Response."

Finally, click here to join the "Wildfires 2007 Response Team" to be added to the mailing list for volunteer opportunities in conjunction with the fires.

Do you need volunteers?

If you have a disaster-related volunteer need, we have volunteers waiting to be dispatched! Contact Larry Deckel at ldeckel@ieuw.org or (909) 980-2857 x208. Leave your contact information along with your location, number of volunteers needed, and special skills (ie. truck drivers, carpenters, child care, food service, etc.) desired.

NOTE: Please be patient. All known information about volunteer needs and donations related to the fires are on this page which will be continuously updated. Any breaking news will be dispatched via the "Wildfires 2007 Response Team" mailing list which you can sign up for above. Please do not call asking if you can help. We appreciate your desire to serve, but until real, immediate needs are identified we'll have no further info to give you. Thanks!
