About this facility
- Mission
- We are the Women's Resource Committee and we work directly with
families in need and with service providers - during an emergency
such as this it's those who have damanged or destroyed homes and who
are under- or uninsured - which is a majority of the fire survivors
- and with the faith-based organizations working directly with these
families in the field - Billy Graham's Rapid Response Team,
Samaritan's Purse, Christ in Action, Heart to Heart International,
Mennonite Disaster Services, Southern Baptists NAMB, Convoy of Hope,
CityTeam, Horizon Ministries, We Care, etc. When we are not in
emergency mode, we work with women and families in need due to a
variety of life challenges - pregnancy, parenting, abuse, addictions,
low income, etc. We're the Women's Resource Committee. - Areas served

Hi Terra. The shelter phase is ending and the recovery phase has
begun! We have national ministries stationed at all of the fire
effected communities with feeding stations and brush clearing
beginning. MDS and others are here doing assessments for rebuilding.
Donations are pouring in. Anyone who wants info, direction for
volunteering, donation needs, or whatever is welcome to call me -
I've been on the phone much of today from those sent to me by 2-1-1
and from churches directly, so I'm used to it! 619-997-5332. I'll be
at the VOAD meeting from 11:30 to 1:30 tomorrow, will otherwise be
