Shoreline has built 5 homes and is building 3 more. They are funded for 3 more, but are holding off on making any more commitments to any additional clients for a couple of months..

There is a 2 months waiting list.

The church focuses on serving its congregration, but is open to helping others if they are referred by a case manager or a larger relief group.

Survivors that have received grant monies are required to pay for tradespeople and/or building materials as needed. Most work is free, via volunteer labor.

Still Urgently Needed! We have a number of people who now have the finances and wherewithall to begin to rebuild their house if we can get some men to come and commit to helping frame and build. The money they have will cover materials but not the labor. We have some expertise but could use more.

We do have a general need for all construction materials like insulation, sheetrock, wire (very costly now) , electrical devices (receptacles, switches,
covers, etc.). We try to require the homeowner to supply these where applicable but even that is sketchy at best. Bottom line is come with a good spirit and along with helping many people you will have a joyous time with us.

Volunteer Housing: Most people give about $8/day, includes meals and showers. AND Entertainment! Tours of New Orleans, for example.
