American Red Cross Services:

The American Red Cross of Orange County has opened three shelters to assist Orange County fire evacuees. The current shelter locations are:

Katella High School

Though the Red Cross will provide a safe place to stay, food and clothing, evacuees are encouraged to bring essential items, such as medication, and any items that will assist with their comfort (teddy bears, pictures, special pillows, etc).

Also, the American Red Cross of Orange County has opened its call center to assist residents and those affected by the Triangle Complex Fire. The phone number is (714) 384-0884. The hotline will be open from 8:00AM to 8:00 PM. Callers will be given information regarding donations, volunteering, and establishing contact with loved ones affected by the fires.

• Small Animals -
Orange County Animal Shelter. 561 The City Drive. Orange, CA 92868 (next to 22 freeway)

• Large Animals -
Huntington Beach Equestrian Center at 18381 Goldenwest St. in Huntington Beach.
Board is free, but people must bring feed and supplies.

• Looking for Loved Ones - Safe and Well:
Safe and Well is a nationally accessible website, developed as a free community service by the American Red Cross, that provides a way for individuals affected by a disaster (within the U.S.) to list themselves as "safe and well." Then, loved ones can check on the status of their family and friends. Register and connect at 1-800-RED CROSS or www.redcross.org.

• Military Family Evacuees (all branches – active or inactive):
Military Families who have been evacuated due to the Southern California fires can contact the National Guard at Los Alamitos Operation Readiness Family who can offer financial assistance that might be available, food vouchers, etc. Contact Estella Wimberly (562) 254-6916.
