Notes
ALERT! Middle Tennessee has been declared a State of Emergency. Families directly affected by this disaster and whose family pet is injured as a result are encourage to apply for Disaster Relief Funds. The Program offers up to $300 to stabilize and/or treat your pet for injuries sustained as a result of the crisis. Families will be required to prove that they own the pet and that they were directly affected by the disaster. Apply online now!
Donations are now being accepted to help families affected by this disaster. Please make a donation today and make a note that the funds are to be used for the TN Disaster. 100% of funds raised will be used for this disaster.

Veterinary Clinics who have provided triage on a family pet during a recognized disaster, can refer the pet owner to Brown Dog Foundation for a one-time Disaster Relief Grant of up to $300. The following items will be required to process the application:
Proof of Ownership
Proof the family was directly affected by the Disaster
Itemized statement of charges
**** To conserve cash resources, Brown Dog Foundation may offer to replace products, supplies and medications used in lieu of reimbursing cash.

At Brown Dog Foundation it is our mission to offer pet owners in temporary financial crisis an alternative to euthanasia when their pet faces a treatable life-threatening condition in order to restore the quality of life for pet and owner.
Please note: Brown Dog Foundation is currently only offering life-saving treatment and life-sustaining medication assistance to families who live in the state of TN.
August 15, 2008: Our National Fund is exhausted at this time. Families applying from states other than TN will not be approved until additional funds are raised.
