Notes
I hope you all had a great and restful Thanksgiving. Let's
get back to work!!!!!!!!!I know a number of you helped fill
sand bags over the holiday and otherscontinued with the fire
recovery here locally as well as in Ramona. Awesome job
volunteers. Another 15 gift baskets were delivered to
families over Thanksgiving as well. These gift baskets were
actual laundry baskets filled with bathroom stuff, kitchen
items, gift cards, free dinner restaurant coupons, hand made
quilts and Dream Dinner meals. Packed with much love and
blessing to all the families that received them. A special
thank you to the Home Church in Poway and the Red Hat Day
Trippers for putting all those askets together and delivering
them. Here are the list of jobs and volunteer opportunities
for this Saturday. Please don't let the Christmas season cut
in on you helping these families in need. The volunteer drop
off has already began, be the example in your sphere of
influence that truly demonstrates what it means to be a good
and caring neighbor and get your friends to join you. The
needs are great!!!
#1 Highland Valley Home - Erosion Control, sand bags and hay
rolls, need pick up truck/van(s), hammers, picks and shovels.
Need 15-20 volunteers
#2 Another Highland Valley Home - Erosion Control, sand bags

shovels. Need 15-20 volunteers
#3 Rancho Bernardo Home - Erosion Control, sand bags and hay rolls,
need pick up truck/van(s), hammers, picks and shovels. Need 15-20

#4 Poway Home - Erosion Control, sand bags and hay rolls, need pick
up truck/van(s), Chain Saws hammers, picks and shovels.
Need 15-20 volunteers.
#5 I need supplies taken from Rancho Bernardo to the Rebuild Escondido
office for fire recovery. Approx 2 pick-up truck loads or 3 van loads.
This can be arranged during the week or weekend. These are some of the
jobs coming up. I'm sure more opportunities will arise as the week
unfolds. Please help me get the word out, many hands are needed.
Keep in mind that Sunday, Dec 2nd is our next food packing event.
We are hoping for another great turnout of volunteers that can help
us put togetherfood packs for needy families locally and for families
in Tanzania. Ourgoal is to assemble 50,000 meals (shouldn't be tough
since in Oct we packed 72,000). This 50,000 along with the 250,000
in our warehouse will get us to the 300,000 mark we need to fill a
container for Tanzania. If all is successful we will ship our 2nd
300,000 shipment on Dec 10th. Take a look at the packing info and
flyer I attached, bring a friend and come and join us. We need
approx 10 rectangular tables and 15-20 canopies for the event. You can
drop them off anytime on Saturday before 2:00pm at Dream Dinners in
Poway or by 8:00am on Sunday the 2nd. If we can borrow a table or
canopy for the day please let me know by e-mailing me back.
Thanks Phil Harris
