Notes

This emergency shelter is for women with and without children.
Shelter and meals can be provided for 6 weeks.

The Metropolitan Center for Women and Children (MCWC) operates
two programs: Metropolitan Battered Women's Program and SARA
Center (Sexual Assault Recovery Assistance). However, the YWCA
Rape Crisis Program's old crisis line (504-483-8888) still
"exists" because it automatically forwards to our crisis line
(504-837-5400). We intend to continue this arrangement for
quite some time so that former clients will continue to be
able to find us.
