OnSite Relief will be taking over an historical house in the ByWater neighborhood of New Orleans on April 23rd. We will begin restoring this house on Monday, April 28th. As this house is over 100 years old and nothing has been done to it since at least the 50's everything needs to be done including all elecrtical and plumbing, repairs need to be made to the hard wood floors and old plaster walls and ceilings, the original windows need to be cleaned up and re-roped, doors need to be re-screened, wall paper needs to be removed and both the interior and exterior need to be painted. Once this house is finished it will be used as OnSite's new permanent NOLA office and will be a place for volunteers to live. Please fill out our volunteer resgistration form at http://www.onsiterelief.com/register.shtml if you are interested in working on this porject or call us at 1-800-370-2420.
