Louisiana Spirit reaches out to communities affected by Katrina with referrals, educational services, and access to counseling services. Special outreach teams work with children, first responders and priority populations to address their critical needs. This program touches communities in Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard parishes, as well as throughout the North Shore.
The Welcome Home Center in New Orleans has closed. Our counselors are still available 24 hours a day. If you need to speak with a counselor, call 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
If you have been affected by either Hurricane Katrina or Rita and want counseling, you can call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to speak with someone or get an immediate referral to a crisis counselor.
