Notes
Parkersburg business owners have started a tornado relief fund for victims at the Lincoln Savings Bank in Waterloo.
100 percent of the money will go to homeowners who have insurance claims in town. They will get a check on a weekly basis.
"As long as money is coming in we're gonna disperse that money, and as we build these lists at the end of the week we'll see how much money is in there and we will get that money dispersed," Truax said.
He says they have plenty of food and water. What they need most is help making payments for the long term. This money will help them with whatever they need.
"Even if it’s in the amount of $2,500 or $5,000 it’s something that will help them get through and pay bills for the next three months," he said.
Parkersburg city officials are holding town hall meetings every day this week at ten in the morning. They are being held at the Bethel Lutheran Church. Officials will be on hand to answer questions and discuss future plans.
