In the Gulf Coast, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita have blown
away the schools, the classrooms, the gyms, the labs and
books. Thousands of books “irreplaceable. Irreplaceable
unless you can helpif you can provide Just One Book, and
if thousands of Americans take this one simple step, we can
restore the most fundamental tools for educationthe books.
Just one idea
Our appeal is simple. We are asking you to send Just One Book
and send it right away. Your first donations will go to schools
in the St. Martin community in the heart of devastated Southern
Mississippi. As more of you participate, our vision is to provide
books for every grade in every school until every child affected
by these storms has the tools to resume their education. And yes,
if you want to help with more than one book, that would be a very
good and generous thing to do.
