Notes
The White Center Food Bank serves more than 1,000 hungry families each month. Last year, we provided food to more than 12,000 households and 18,000 infants and children. We could not provide these services to the White Center community without the generosity of our donors and volunteers. However, more help is needed to meet the overwhelming demands of this community!
The White Center Food Bank strives to provide the best possible services to its community. Our efforts include:
* Providing nutritious and culturally relevant food to the diverse White Center community, which is rich with people who have recently immigrated from locations all over the world.
* Partnering with other local organizations:
*Building a baby pantry with Westside Baby to support low-income families with infants. - OPEN M-W-F 1-4pm (location?)
*Opening the food bank 2 evenings per month to better serve working families with the support of the local Kiwanis, the 34th District Democrats and Fauntleroy UCC Church.
*Offering foods that meet special dietary needs such as diabetes and low salt diets, and providing no-cook bags for homeless individuals and families through our partnership with the Emergency Feeding Program.
