Notes

St. Vincent de Paul runs an active food bank at our 4th Ave location just south of downtown Seattle. The food bank is maintaining a vital source of weekly food for many of our city’s poor and homeless families and individuals.

Though the Food Bank serves people in a designated area of South Seattle, we turn no one away. We serve nearly 1,200 meals to 450 people a week. We work to help provide a balance diet, and try to give more food to lager families. We also provide free clothing to individuals that need it.

Our Food Bank is the successor to the Georgetown Food Bank that served its guests in the old Georgetown City Hall for many years. The demand for food has risen substantially in recent months and our sources of donated food has shrunken. We salute our donors and volunteers for their continuing efforts to eliminate hunger in South Seattle.
