Notes

Birth-To-Five is a service organization dedicated to maximizing the social-emotional, intellectual, language, and physical development of young children in Wayne County.

We focus on:

Teaching families about how children develop
Helping adults prepare their children for school
Detecting developmental delays in children

Increasing parents' participation in children's learning experiences
Our programs are free and voluntary. We provide them throughout Wayne County.

Our programs take place in schools, churches, community centers and homes in Wayne County.

Programs:

Families receive one-to-one support and information from the Birth-to-Five staff. We focus on adults whose children are between birth and age five.

Birth-to-Five houses three early childhood programs:

Parents As Teachers
Supporting Care Providers
Healthy Families

We realize parents may be busy, so we make it easy to get our help. We visit families in their homes! We also hold some events in group settings outside the home.

Our Team:
Birth-to-Five serves families with skill and enthusiasm. Staff members teach parenting skills, stage fun group activities, and visit families' homes to encourage a healthy and fun learning environment. Board members provide overall direction for the organization. Volunteers lend their talent and energy to our programs throughout the year.

Participate:
Join us at an event! Birth-to-Five hosts playgroups, Book Buddies, Kindergarten Readiness Workshops, parent discussions, and other activities throughout the year.

We also offer occasional volunteer opportunities.

Contact us at (765) 966-6080 or info@mybirthtofive.org to learn about events and volunteer opportunities.
