Bay St. Louis, MS - August 28th, 2007 “CityTeam’s Disaster Response Team still needs volunteers to help rebuild lives and homes in the Gulf Coast. CityTeam is a registered 501c(3) non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization that has helped the poor and homeless for over 50 years. CityTeam’s Disaster Response Team heard the call two years ago to come to the aid of Bay St. Louis, MS - providing shelter, food, water, counseling, AA meetings, case management, and rebuilding homes. CityTeam offers multiple programs that provide real hope that transforms communities around the world. We use that same experience to assist with the needs of people suffering in disaster situations...
website states: by this summer (August, 2007)
There are still another hundred families on our waiting list but without the volunteers and financial support we are unable to help everyone that so badly needs our assistance.
f you would like to volunteer, please contact Tanya Liston at CityTeam – 408-232-5600 or tliston@cityteam.org. Please download the volunteer application form and fax it to the number provided at the top of the form.

Help Us Rebuild Homes in the Katrina Disaster Area
We’ve been on the ground in Bay St. Louis, MS since the first
week of Hurricane Katrina. Now, we are rebuilding 130 homes.
These are some of the neediest situations – the elderly that
had no where else to turn and families with young children
that are living in small FEMA trailers. We will be there for
another year and we’re in need of skilled volunteers and
donations today.
On the average it cost $15,000 for us to repair a home with
volunteer labor. We have depleted our funds to purchase material
and are in need of financial donations to help bring a family
home. You can help today by donating.
-----------------------------
Per Pastor Bonnie, via email to Laura (November 2006):
"..we have stopped distribution of food products and baby food.
We are working on home rebuilding now. We started home rebuilding
in January of this year and were doing distribution at the same
time. We are also doing AA and AlAnon meetings; as well as a
women's luncheon on the first and third Thursday of every month.
Distribution ended June 26th."
CityTeam has partnered with Wal-mart to host a “Wish-List” registry
on-line so you can purchase needed household items for over a 100
families that have lost e`verything in the terrible disaster of
Hurricane Katrina.
