Notes

9/9/08 LTel:

Spoke to Pastor Ken Smith and they have exhausted their financial resources at this point to provide Gustav relief.

They continue their local operations in providing volunteer housing and work orders to finish up recovery for Katrina.

==============================================================================

9/4/08 Per call to Pastor Kenneth Smith:

The pastor is on his way to with relief supplies he's delivering to Baton Rouge (tarps/gasoline/biz queen - plastic polyetheline rolls).

They are also securing a refrigerated trailer that is being picked up in MS that will be delivered to Gonzalez, LA in order to make ice and keep perishables.

A volunteer team is arriving Sat. 9/6 to assist with first response efforts and he is coordinating their stay in Baton Rouge, LA.

Two church members traveled to Houma/Terrebone Parish on 9/3/08 and he's waiting for an assessment report of needs in that region that should come today once they get into good cell reception.

Pastor Smith will keep me informed of any unmet needs or regions.

9/3/08 LTel Per Call to Pastor Vic Warrick:

No changes, same as stated below as relates to Volunteer Housing.

They do not get work orders for Katrina repairs/rebuilds. They serve their community as needed.

They have zero volunteers being housed at this time and are not booked out.

They are getting ready to build a drug/alcohol rehab center for their community.

They are currently working on coordinating relief efforts in Baton Rouge as relates to Gustav. Left my contact info with Pastor Vic to let me know if he ID's any unmet/underserved needs.
