0 - DATABASE INSTRUCTIONS, Tips on How to List AVAILABILITIES

Usually, we like to see at least a few items in the AVAILABILITY list that describe what the facility has available. Be creative. At the very least, if it's a social service organization, there are some general social service items under the category "Services" all the way to the right.

Choose "QUICK AVAILABILITY CREATOR" (the green link at the right to the bottom of the facility's RECORD DETAILS.

Either scroll to the right and left and find items in the "categories". Or use the Ctrl-F function and type in "key words" to look quickly for applicable items. You can search for items in the QUICK AVAILABILITY CREATOR by pressing on the Ctrl button (lower left on your keyboard) and the "f" key on your keyboard at the same time. A little window will pop up.

Try using some of these terms to look for appropriate service items. Note that it's better to use a short term of one word, which is "most common" rather than adding a plural at the end, or trying to search for too many words:

Food Pantry / Bank:
- pantry
- bank
- distribution

Food Pantries and Foodbanks provide "distribution" services. They help distribute supplies.

Free Medical Clinic:
- medical
- health

Social Services:
- social
- service

Fuel Assistance
- utility

Senior Assistance
- senior

Financial Assistance
- financial

Suppers/Dinners/Meals:
- meal
