Evacuees should not return to Calcasieu Parish until further notice, as tropical storm force winds are still prevalant parish-wide.
Last Resort Shelters:
The Pryce/Miller shelter on Albert St. is no longer taking residents needing shelter.
The City of Lake Charles has opened shelters of last resort at:
Primary - Forest K. White Middle School, 1000 E. McNeese St, L.C., 477-1533
MLK Community Center, 2009 N. Simmons St, L.C., 491-1497
In Sulphur, the 9th Grade School at 600 Willow St. has been opened as a temporary shelter.
Residents going to a temporary shelter should bring medicine, bedding and any other personal items they may need.
