Group Volunteer General Information
We have lodging and projects. You can contact us at our email address for more information: reachingforjesus@hotmail.com
Our community is in need of volunteer labor groups that can provide skilled laborers such as, builders, electricians, plumbers, roofers, etc. Clean-up or mud-out work may also be done. Youth groups are discouraged from coming unless they are part of a skilled work group or have adequate supervision. Our church will not be able to provide supervision for work groups.
Our church can provide:
Housing (8--12 x 14 ft. Sunday School rooms)
Showers (1 women’s & 1 men’s)
Kitchen Facilities
Dining and Meeting Area (32 x 25 ft. fellowship hall)
Job locations
The most efficient work groups consist of 5 or 6 workers with at least one skilled leader. Churches that send more than 6 poeple should be divided into more than one work group. Churches with more than one work group may be divided among several job locations.
Each group should be prepared to provide:
Transportation to the job sites

Resource Needs:
Materials: an assortment of nails, screws, wire nuts, electrical tape, etc.
Tools: Drills, circular and reciprocal saws, extension cords, Rotozip, hand tools for carpentry, plumbing and electrical, etc. Due to electrical problems after a disaster, cordless tools are preferred, but not necessary.
Bibles: people lost all of their personal belonings, among them were Bibles. Some people never owned a Bible. They make a good gift because you are not only helping with material, temporal needs, a Bible has the possibility of making an eternal impact.
