Clothing and supplies collected by community volunteers at the Sylmar Park Donation Collection Center have been moved to M.E.N.D (Meet Each Need with Dignity). Families impacted by the Sayre Wildfire will be able to select items they need at their Pacoima location at:

* Goodwill Southern California

The American Red Cross, which is not designed to accept individual donations of items for emergency relief, partners with other community agencies and organizations such as Goodwill to accommodate individuals requesting to donate material items. The value of the donation translates into a free voucher, assigned through the American Red Cross. Voucher recipients are given the freedom and dignity to shop with the vouchers at any Goodwill Southern California store allowing a wider choice in selection and also more time to shop at his or her convenience.

* Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities, in partnership with St Didacus Church, is providing assistance with food and clothing. Depending on the financial donations they receive for the victims of the Sylmar fire, they may be able to provide a limited number of food certificates, motel vouchers and some financial assistance.

NOTE: They also have free hot lunches Thurs. & Fri. 12-1 PM, Clothing distribution, free Haircuts on Thursdays & Hot Showers during regular pantry hours
