* Canyon City and John Day was closed when water from Canyon Creek, a tributary of the John Day River
* may have reached the level of a 100-year flood in some area
* sandbags to keep water out of homes in nearby Mount Vernon and Prairie City
* Pendleton posted a flood warning Tuesday for the John Day River at Service Creek affecting Wheeler County
* Morrow County, the town of Heppner got the worst of the flooding, Heppner Fire Chief

* Union County, the Grande Ronde River crested between La Grande and the town of Perry
* between the towns of Kimberly and Monument, and Oregon 402 was closed after the North Fork John Day River jumped its banks
* North Powder and one in Ladd Marsh, south of La Grande
