Mission
From their website: About Us

[The believers are] to be firm and patient in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of Truth, the God-fearing. 2:177

Our purpose as Atlanta Islamic Relief Task Force (AIR-TF) is to provide planning, program development, capacity building, training and emergency resources to faith communities, private non-profit organizations/agencies and businesses [who are affiliated with AIR-TF] so they can meet the basic needs of individuals and families who come to them seeking economic, social and community assistance in the wake of any type of catastrophic event. AIR-TF also will work to develop a viable emergency preparedness and response network in Atlanta and surrounding areas to protect and provide for individuals and families in the course of an emergency or disaster – natural or man-made.
Our vision is of believing communities prepared with the capacity to effectively respond to any man-made or natural event that has the potential to threaten or harm the safety, security or well-being of the human family. Our mission is teaching and preparing human communities to effectively anticipate and respond to adversities of man-made or natural origin. Our commitment is to be prepared to raise and divert emergency funds and commodities to anywhere within Metro Atlanta, the state of Georgia and the Southeast region of the United States. Our focus at this time is to coordinate projects that address assisting Hurricane Katrina/Rita/Wilma evacuees and survivors in rebuilding their lives spiritually, mentally, emotionally, financially and materially. Also, to lend monetary support to the earthquake survivors in Southeast Asia. And, very importantly, to begin providing emergency preparedness information and training to Masajid, Muslim organizations, businesses and schools throughout Metro Atlanta.
