Humane Society of the Ouachitas

--Do you appreciate NO-KILL shelters such as ours who provide clean and safe housing for homeless pets?

--Do you feel compassion for the needs of homeless pets?

--Do you have a "Best Furry Friend" of your own that came into your life in a 'magical way' via a shelter visit, or one that showed up on your doorstep?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, you will enjoy our website!

We are the Humane Society of the Ouachitas (HSO) a non-profit, NO-KILL shelter, and we invite you to browse and get to know us! We also invite you to register with our site (at the left side) and you will have access to more cool stuff, from browsing our pet list, browsing our 'special pets of the week', checking out our events such as our spay/neuter clinics, including helpful hints for your pets, and an invitation to enter our FREE contests when we schedule them!

Registration is fast and we only ask for your email address. (We do NOT give your address out to anyone.) Once you register, you will receive an email from us explaining how to complete your registration.

HELP KEEP OUR SHELTER CATS HEALTHY!
The Humane Society of the Ouachitas is currently requesting donations to purchase a 9-cage bank of steel isolation cages for cats. This is desperately needed to insure that healthy cats stay healthy and sick cats are quickly identified and given appropriate care.

The cost to purchase a 9-cage bank is $1016.55.

Cat lovers, please consider making a donation to this fund. This is an Emergency Request as the cage bank should be purchased as soon as possible.

THANK YOU!
